Secondhand Stories is a registered non-profit online book shop based out of the Carlington neighbourhood of Ottawa that donates all profits to local farm animal rescue, The Sweet Sanctuary. They accept donations of gently used books and post them for sale here, always for only FIVE ($5) dollars each! Since being established in November 2020 Secondhand Stories has donated over $17,000 #fortheanimals.

2021 VEGOTTAWA ASSOCIATION AGM

VegOttawa Association will be holding its 11th Annual General Meeting on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 3:30pm on ZOOM. We will review the achievements we’ve made since the last AGM and look towards the future of VegOttawa.

As per our bylaws, there will be an election for 7 board of director positions. Director positions have a one-year term. This is a great opportunity for Ottawa residents who are passionate about growing veganism in the nation’s capital.

Nominations are currently being accepted.
Nominations must be received by March 12, 2021. Only VegOttawa Association members in good standing may be nominated or make a nomination. You can nominate yourself or someone else. Nominations must be made in writing and be signed by the nominee. Nominations or questions about the process can be e-mailed to: secretary.vegottawa@gmail.com.

VegOttawa Association members will have an opportunity to appoint an auditor at the meeting. The auditor will audit the accounts of the Association. The term of the auditor runs until the following annual meeting. Remuneration will be set by the board.

All members in good standing are entitled to attend the AGM. In order to vote in the election, you must have been a member at the time this meeting was announced. If you are uncertain as to your eligibility, please email our membership coordinator at: memberships.vegottawa@gmail.com.

You may still become a member between now and March 21, 2021, and be able to attend the AGM. Purchase your VegOttawa Association membership here.

Please make sure to RSVP your attendance to secretary.vegottawa@gmail.com, as we need a certain number of attendees to make quorum. You will be provided with a ZOOM meeting link and a reminder before the meeting date.
